1. Technical solutions for special high-polymer synthetic materials
In response to the performance requirements of the machinery manufacturing industry for high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and lightweight, our institute has selected macromolecular structure PPA, PPS, PA6 and other resin materials from hundreds of polymer composite materials, selected small filament carbon fiber and glass fiber as resin-based materials, and added macromolecular structure intermediate MC materials at the same time, effectively increasing the molecular weight of composite materials, from the ordinary PA6 molecular weight of about 26000, increased to 60000-80000, thereby greatly improving the mechanical strength of composite materials, increasing the tensile strength of ordinary PA6 from about 90MPa to 198-210MPa. Reaching the tensile strength of HT200 cast iron, the compressive strength is increased from 170MPa to 280MPa, and at the same time, an appropriate amount of antioxidants, solubilizers, tougheners, special rare earth materials and other auxiliary reagents are added to the composite materials, which effectively improves the comprehensive performance of the composite materials such as aging resistance, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, and impact resistance.
2. Performance advantages of special high-polymer synthetic materials
2.1 High Wear Resistance:
Adding high wear-resistant alloy materials to the above-mentioned preferred special engineering plastic resin materials effectively improves the wear resistance and self-lubrication performance of the composite materials. Long-term use and repeated tests have proved that the wear resistance of the above-mentioned high wear-resistant alloy materials is more than 4-6 times that of ductile iron and 2-3 times that of high manganese and high chromium alloys. The high wear-resistant alloy worm gear developed by our institute has been used in China's automotive EPS system for nearly 20 years, and currently accounts for about 50% of the national automotive EPS market share. The high wear-resistant slider is used in important heavy industry enterprises such as XCMG Group, Jinan Lingong, and Zhejiang Dingli Heavy Industry, and is focused on application and promotion in the fields of cloud ladders and lifting machinery. In response to the needs of the special fluid loss environment of water pump products, our institute has cooperated with the Jiangsu University Fluid Center since 2020 to apply high wear-resistant alloy materials to water pump impellers, pump bodies, and guide vanes, achieving good results. The slurry pump impeller developed in 2022 has been exported and applied to Australian sand ships, receiving good user reviews. The wear resistance and service life are truly superior to high-chromium alloy impellers, and the cost is only about one-third of high-chromium products. It is now in mass production.
2.2 High Strength
Special high-polymer synthetic materials have high strength advantages. According to our institute's self-inspection and repeated testing commissioned by Shanghai Micro-Pu, the tensile strength of the material is 190-208 MPa, the compressive strength is 260-285 MPa, and the impact performance is 20-30 KJ/m2. The tensile strength of special formulas is as high as 328 MPa. These materials have been widely used in industries such as drones, automobiles, engineering machinery, high-speed rail, power engineering, water pumps, chemical pumps, and logistics machinery.
2.3 Corrosion Resistance
The special high-polymer synthetic materials newly developed by our institute have ultra-strong corrosion resistance. The 550W submersible chemical pump developed in 2023 has been tested in a 40% concentration of strong acid for more than a year. The well-use submersible pump has been used for more than two years in the harsh environment around Qinghai Lake with high sand content and high salt concentration, and has received good user reviews. It has been exported to the Middle East and promoted to users with high sand content at a depth of 100-160 meters. The special high-polymer synthetic materials developed by our institute are resistant to strong acids, strong alkalis, high-concentration salt water, and brine, and are particularly suitable for promotion in seawater chemical and seawater aquaculture areas.
2.4 Lightweight
The density of special high-polymer materials is 1.2-1.6 g/cm3, which is about one-fifth of the density of steel, effectively reducing the weight of the submersible pump, which is conducive to pump transportation and installation, and has many excellent functions such as energy saving, environmental protection, and paint-free.
