What protective measures should be taken before starting a submersible pump?

Yutong Pump Industry specializes in the production of submersible pumps. The following protective measures should be provided during the use of submersible pumps. Before starting the submersible pump, a qualified electrician should inspect the system to ensure the electrical protection measures required by the following items. 1. The power supply device should be safe, reliable, and normal. The power supply voltage and frequency should meet the regulations (voltage is 380V ±5%, frequency is 50Hz ±1%), and the instantaneous voltage overshoot should not exceed 10%. If the distance between the power supply and the water pump is far, the cross-sectional area of the cable should be increased, and the number of joints should be as few as possible, otherwise the voltage will drop too much, and the cable should be

  Yutong Pump Industry specializes in the production of submersible pumps. The following protective measures should be provided during the use of submersible pumps. Before starting the submersible pump, a qualified electrician should inspect the system to ensure the electrical protection measures required by the following items.

  1. The power supply device should be safe, reliable, and functioning normally. The power supply voltage and frequency should meet the regulations (voltage is 380V ±5%, frequency is 50Hz ±1%), and the instantaneous voltage overshoot should not exceed 10%. If the distance between the power supply and the pump is far, the cross-sectional area of the cable should be increased, and the number of joints should be minimized, otherwise the voltage will drop too much, and sealing and waterproof treatment should be done at the cable joints to prevent leakage;

  2. Before operation of the submersible sewage pump, the insulation resistance between phases and the ground of the motor should be checked with a 0~500 megohmmeter, and the minimum value should be greater than 2MΩ;

  3. In a four-core cable, the one with the symbol "┴" is the ground wire (generally a green and yellow double-colored wire or a black wire). To ensure safe use, it must be reliably grounded, and it should be 50mm longer than other wires;

  4. If conditions permit, electrical protection devices may include: ground protection devices, ground leakage circuit breakers, etc. However, in any case, slow-blow fuses matching the rated current of the pump must be installed;

  5. The electrical control device should be moisture-proof and installed in a moisture-proof area. When placing the cables, pay attention to not blocking the pump's suction port;

  6. Check the direction of rotor rotation. The direction of rotation should be checked after the initial start-up or reinstallation of the submersible sewage pump. Incorrect rotation direction will reduce the efficiency of the submersible sewage pump or cause damage such as impeller detachment. To determine the direction of rotor rotation, before the final installation of the submersible sewage pump, it should be lifted and jogged. The direction of rotation is correct if the following conditions are met; otherwise, the positions of any two wires in the three-phase wires on the controller should be exchanged to change the direction of rotation: Viewed from the top of the pump, the rotor rotates clockwise; viewed from the bottom up (i.e., the suction port direction), the blades rotate counterclockwise.
